Dental System Issue from 18 February 2026
19/02/2026A critical issue impacting Dental System 2024 and 2025 users, regardless of licensing method, has been identified starting 18 February 2026. The issue was caused by an incorrect implementation in the validation process for a certificate in Dental System. When the certificate expired, it affected multiple features in Dental System.
The issue can disrupt 3Shape Automate (AI Design proposals), affects Cloud License users, and prevents users from signing into 3Shape Account in both Dental Manager and Dental System Control Panel. Because a renewed 3Shape Account sign-in is required every 6 months, any users running the affected versions may be impacted at a later time.
How can you identify the issue?
Users may experience one or more of the symptoms below:
- An error message during Dental System startup: “No subscription for this application. The license is either missing or there are no more application subscriptions available.”
-
Dental System Control Panel shows only the Subscription Management and Profiles sections. An error message is shown in Subscription Management: “The application connecting to the server is not a 3Shape application.
- AI Design proposals are not working in Dental Manager and display an error message: “3Shape AI Design proposals are disabled. Please login to your 3Shape account in Dental Manager.”
- 3Shape Account Sign-in issue: It is not possible to sign into 3Shape Account in Dental System.

Affected Versions
Dental System 2024 versions 24.1.0-24.1.3
Dental System 2025 versions 25.1.0-25.2.0
Solution
Official patches have been released for Dental System 2024 (24.1.4) and Dental System 2025 (25.2.1), containing a permanent fix for the issue.
Customers experiencing the issue should contact their reseller to install the updates.
Please note: Updated patches are available. See below.
Further Actions
The issue from 18 February 2026 can potentially affect any user on Dental System 2024 and 2025 and can become critical, as 3Shape Account authentication must be refreshed every 6 months. Users may experience the issue when they are required to reauthenticate. It is therefore recommended to apply the patch to every system.
Update from 23rd of March 2026
Due to a system discrepancy, a set of certificates was revoked as a precaution. As a result, customers using Dental System versions DS 24.1.4 and DS 25.2.1 may have experienced production interruptions.
Solution
New patches — Dental System 2.25.2.2 and Dental System 2.24.1.5 — have now been released. These updates include the fix addressing the reported issues. The patches will be deployed to all customers on Cloud License and Unite III with partially migrated dongles. Patch installers have already been uploaded to the Partner Portal, and are available for resellers.
For customers who do not fall into the above target group, the reseller will be responsible for providing the latest installer. Please reach out to your reseller to receive the update. We recommend updating as soon as possible to avoid any risk of workflow interruptions and are actively implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
