Introducing TRIOS MOVE Pro

The TRIOS MOVE Pro is an ergonomic, mobile cart that brings an integrated screen directly to a patient's chair for dental scans. It is designed for dental professionals to improve patient engagement by easily positioning 3D scans for patients to see during consultations and treatment discussions.

Engagement TRIOS MOVE Pro features an 18.5” full HD touchscreen and upgraded PC specifications, making it easier to present scans, discuss treatment options, and guide patients through next steps. The clear visuals help patients better understand their treatment, which can support improved communication and decision-making.

 

Comfort The fully adjustable swivel arm allows you to position the screen for optimal viewing - whether for yourself or your patients. Additionally, the height-adjustable storage tray keeps essential items within reach, helping maintain a comfortable and organized workspace.

TRIOS MOVE Pro is designed to support flexible workflows in your clinic. With a battery that lasts up to 30 minutes*, smooth-gliding wheels, a built-in cable hook, and a storage tray, you can easily move the unit between rooms without needing to restart the system.

This mobility helps reduce downtime, supports more efficient clinical workflows, and ensures a smoother experience for both staff and patients.

FAQ

Battery & Power

  1. Does TRIOS MOVE Pro come with a battery?  

Yes. TRIOS MOVE Pro is equipped with a built-in battery that provides up to 30 minutes of runtime, designed solely for transport purposes and not for scanning. It is recommended to keep it plugged into power during scanning for the optimal performance.  

  1. How long does it take to charge the battery?  

The battery takes less than 3 hours to fully charge. To charge the battery, simply plug in the charging cable.  

  1. What happens if I scan while TRIOS MOVE Pro is running on battery?

You can still perform a scan, but a warning will appear on-screen if the device is not connected to a power outlet. Scanning on battery is not recommended, as it significantly shortens the available runtime.  

  1. Is there a battery level indicator?  

There is no dedicated battery icon visible during normal use in UNITE, as the battery is only intended for short transport. However, you will receive notifications in UNITE when the device is unplugged, if you try to scan while on battery, or when the battery level drops below 20%. Alternatively, since the system runs on Windows, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Windows taskbar and view the battery icon in the lower right corner.  

  1. How long does the TRIOS MOVE Pro battery last, and when should I replace it?  

Like all rechargeable batteries, performance will gradually decline over time. Most users will likely notice only slightly reduced runtime after around 24 months, while heavy users may see this sooner. You should consider replacing the battery when it no longer supports your typical usage needs. For assistance with replacement, please contact your local reseller or 3Shape Support.  

  1. Can I move TRIOS MOVE Pro between rooms without shutting it down?  

Yes. The battery allows you to move the unit between rooms without powering it off.  

  1. Can I use sleep mode to save power during short breaks?  

Yes. You can press the button on the back of the monitor to enter sleep mode and press again to wake it up. The system still consumes a small amount of battery in sleep mode, so charging may be required before reuse.  

  1. How do I shut down TRIOS MOVE Pro completely now that the button puts the device in sleep mode?

To shut down the device completely, you have two options:

  • Click the 3Shape icon in the bottom right corner in the TRIOS software and select Shut down.
  • Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the Windows taskbar, click the Power icon, and select Shut down.

If the system becomes unresponsive, you can perform a forced shutdown by pressing and holding the standby button on the back of the monitor for about 5 seconds. To power it on again, press the button briefly after a few seconds.

  1. What should I do if TRIOS MOVE Pro becomes slow during use?  

Make sure TRIOS MOVE Pro is plugged into a power outlet. Reboot the device regularly to maintain performance. To do this, shut it down completely and power it back on.  

  1. What does the LED light on the back of the monitor indicate?  
  • LED OFF: TRIOS MOVE Pro is either shut down or in sleep mode.  
  • LED ON: The system is powered on and ready for use (make sure it's connected to a power outlet before scanning).  
 
 

Connectivity

  1. What kind of USB ports are available on TRIOS MOVE Pro?  

TRIOS MOVE Pro includes two USB-C ports that support data transfer (e.g., for keyboard, mouse, USB drive, etc). They do not support charging or video output (e.g., HDMI or VGA).  

  1. Do the USB-C ports support charging or video output?  

No. The USB-C ports are for data transfer only.  

  1. How do I connect TRIOS MOVE Pro to a wired network if Wi-Fi is not available?  

Use a USB-C to Ethernet adapter to connect an Ethernet cable.  

  1. Has the Wi-Fi been upgraded in TRIOS MOVE Pro?  

Yes. TRIOS MOVE Pro includes an upgraded Wi-Fi module for improved stability and performance. It supports Wi-Fi 5 and WPA3 security.  

 
 

Usability & Cleaning 

  1. How do I clean TRIOS MOVE Pro?  

Please follow the cleaning instructions provided in the Safety & Setup Guide (add a link here).  

  1. How do I adjust the monitor arm if it starts to sag?  

Over time, the gas spring may lose tension. You can adjust it using the included hex key on the screw located underneath the monitor arm. Please refer to the Safety & Setup Guide for instructions.  

  1. Can TRIOS MOVE Pro be controlled remotely using the scanner?  

Yes. Both TRIOS 5 and TRIOS 6 can be used as remote controls during the scanning workflow by pressing the scanner’s second button.  

  1. Can the TRAY for TRIOS MOVE Pro be machine washed?  

No. The tray does not withstand machine washing and may break if washed.

 
 

Spare Parts & Warranty 

  1. Can I charge scanner batteries on the TRIOS MOVE Pro tray?  

No. The storage tray is designed for holding accessories only. It does not support charging or data transfer.  

  1. Is TRIOS MOVE Pro and its spare parts covered by TRIOS Care extended warranty.

TRIOS MOVE Pro and the scanner holder are covered by TRIOS Care extended warranty. The storage tray is covered by a standard 1-year warranty.
