Auto Upgrade Process Using Cloud Application Tool (CAT) in Dental System

The Cloud Application Tool (CAT) automatically detects and installs new Dental System versions. It downloads available updates in the background and notifies users when a new version is ready to install.

The upgrade process requires minimal user interaction and supports both standalone and client-server installations.

Upgrading When a Notification Is Displayed

When a new version is available, a notification is displayed.

Step 1: Click the upgrade notification.

Step 2: Confirm that you want to install the update.

Step 3: Close all running 3Shape applications when prompted.

Step 4: Wait while the installer upgrades Dental System. The installation is completed automatically.

Upgrade via Manual Notification

If you choose not to install the update when the notification first appears, you can start it later.

Step 1: Open Dental Manager.

Step 2: Click the notification icon in the upper-right corner. Clicking it displays the upgrade prompt again.

Step 3: Click the available software update.

Step 4: Confirm the upgrade.

Step 5: Wait while the installation completes.

After the installation finishes, Dental System is updated. Version number is updated accordingly.
