Installing and Setting Up TRIOS Inbox

The TRIOS Inbox module is part of Dental System and enables the exchange of TRIOS orders between clinics and laboratories.

Prerequisites

Before installing TRIOS Inbox, ensure that the following requirements are met:

• A dongle with active Dental Manager and TRIOS Inbox subscriptions is connected to the PC.
• The latest Dental System Installer is available on the PC.
• The PC meets the minimum system requirements.
• Firewall and antivirus software do not block the required ports.
• The PC has a stable internet connection.

Installing Dental System

Step 1: Connect the dongle to the PC.

Step 2: Right-click the Dental System installer and select "Run as administrator".

Step 3: Click "Yes" if prompted by User Account Control.

Step 4: Wait for the installation files to be extracted.

Step 5: Select the installation language and installation location.

Step 6: Click "Continue".

Step 7: Select "Custom Installation".

Step 8: Select "Standalone" as the installation type.

Step 9: Click "Continue".

Step 10: Complete the installation.

When the installation is complete:

• The "What's New" document is displayed.
• Shortcuts for "3Shape Dental System" and "3Shape Dental System Control Panel" are created on the desktop.
   

Configuring a 3Shape Communicate Account

Step 1: Open "3Shape Dental System".

Step 2: Click "Create 3Shape Account".

Step 3: Enter the required account information.

Step 4: Click "Create My Account".

Step 5: Open the confirmation email.

Step 6: Click the activation link to verify the account.

Step 7: Sign in to the 3Shape Communicate Portal using the registered email address and password.

Step 8: Open the "Connections" section.

Step 9: Add the required clinic connections.

Configuring 3Shape Communicate in Dental System Control Panel

Step 1: Open "3Shape Dental System Control Panel".

Step 2: Click "Add Another Profile".

Step 3: Enter the 3Shape Communicate email address and password.

Step 4: Create a PIN code.

Step 5: Re-enter the PIN code to confirm it.

Step 6: After the Home page opens, select "Tools".

Step 7: Open the "3Shape Communicate" tab.

Step 8: Under "3Shape Communicate Integration", click "Configure".

Step 9: Select "Enable".

Step 10: Click "+" to add the account.

Step 11: Click “Import Connections” to import the connections from the 3Shape Communicate Portal.

Step 13: Click "OK".

Step 14: Save the changes and close Dental System Control Panel.

Receiving TRIOS Orders

Step 1: Open "3Shape Dental System".

Step 2: Enter the PIN code.

Step 3: Open the "3Shape Communicate Inbox" tab.

Step 4: Click "Refresh".

Step 5: Wait for the incoming orders to appear.

Step 6: Right-click the required order.

Step 7: Select "Accept".

Step 8: Confirm the acceptance when prompted.

Step 9: When the Order Form opens, click "OK" to convert the TRIOS order using Dental System materials.

Automatic conversion rules are applied. If a conversion rule has already been saved, future orders with the same materials are converted automatically.

After the order is accepted, it is moved to the "Orders" tab and is ready for processing.
