How to install and setup TRIOS Inbox

The TRIOS Inbox module is a part of the Dental System application that allows exchanging the Trios orders between the Lab and the Clinic.

Pre-requisites

Make sure the following requirements are met before continuing:

• Dongle must be connected to the PC with active Dental Manager and TRIOS Inbox subscriptions.
• Dental System Installer 2.23.1.1 must be located on the PC.
• PC should meet the minimum requirements specified at the end of this article.
• Firewall and Antivirus should not block the ports mentioned in the article.
• PC should have a stable Internet connection.

Steps to install TRIOS Inbox:

TRIOS inbox installation consists of 4 parts:

1. Dental System installation.
2. 3Shape Communicate Account configuration.
3. 3Shape Communicate settings adjustment in Dental System Control Panel.
4. TRIOS orders acceptance in Dental System.

Dental System installation

1. Connect Dongle to the PC.
2. Right-click on the installer and run it ‘As an administrator’, click “yes” and wait for the files to extract.
   
3. Select the installation language and location and click “Continue”.
   
4. Select the Custom Installation method and choose the installation type “Standalone”. Press the “Continue” button.
   
5. Continue installation. It will take a few minutes till the installer completes all steps.
6. After completing the installation, the "What's New" document will appear, and 3Shape Dental System and 3Shape Dental System Control Panel shortcuts will be created on the Desktop.

3Shape Communicate Account configuration

1. Open 3Shape Dental System by clicking on the corresponding shortcut from the Desktop, then select “Create 3Shape Account” button. 
2. Fill in the data and press “Create my Account”. Please note, it is important to create a separate 3Shape Communicate Account from the one used by the TRIOS side. Otherwise, orders will not arrive.
   
3. Go to the email account and confirm the account creation by opening the link that was automatically sent to the specified email address.
4. Sign in to the 3Shape Communicate account with the corresponding email address and password.
5. Proceed to the “Connections” field and add new connections from the clinic side. 

3Shape Communicate settings adjustment in Dental System Control Panel

1. Open the 3Shape Dental System Control Panel icon from the Desktop.
2. Select “Add another Profile” and enter 3shape communicate credentials using the email and password.
3. Invent a PIN code for the simplified log-in. For the first time enter the PIN code twice.
   
4. Once the Home page is opened, go to “Tools”, and choose the 3Shape Communicate tab.
5. Under 3Shape Communicate integration click on “Configure”.
6. Select the “Enable” option and press the “+” button to add a new account.
   
7. After the account is added, press on “Import connections” to import the connections from the 3Shape Communicate Portal.
   
8. Press “Ok” and close the window. Then save changes and close the 3Shape Dental System Control Panel.
   

   NOTE: the connections should be imported every time a new connection is added on Communicate portal.

    

TRIOS orders acceptance in Dental System

1. Run the 3Shape Dental System icon from the Desktop. 
2. Enter the PIN code. 
3. Proceed to the 3Shape Communicate Inbox tab and press the “Refresh” button.
   
4. Wait till orders are received from the 3Shape Communicate portal.
5. Right-click on the order and select the “Accept” option.
6. Accept the order once the corresponding message appears.
   
7. Once the Order Form is opened press “Ok” to convert the TRIOS order with Dental System materials.
8. Automatic conversion rules will be applied. If the rule is saved, next order with the same materials will be converted automatically. 
9. After acceptance, the order is moved to the “Orders” tab and is ready for usage.
