CAM Output Blocked Due to Local Manufacturing Restrictions

08/11/2023

This article explains how to resolve the following warning displayed when generating CAM output:

"Cannot generate the CAM output for [indication] because [library name] is not allowed to be produced locally."

Cause

This warning occurs when the selected library does not permit local manufacturing. The permission is controlled by the implant or library provider and is enforced through the dongle configuration.

This issue can occur when the manufacturing type selected for the order is Local.

Resolution

Step 1: Contact the library provider and request confirmation that local manufacturing is permitted for the library on your dongle.

Step 2: After receiving the provider's confirmation, contact support@3shape.com and request that the "Allow local manufacturing" permission be enabled for the affected library on your dongle.

Include the provider's confirmation with your request.
