How to Re-enable Invisalign Integration

22/11/2024

Introduction

Invisalign is transitioning its users to a new identity platform. As a result of this, if you are a 3Shape user with an active integration with Invisalign, you must re-enable your integration before February 26th to ensure uninterrupted service (if you do not re-enable your integration before February 26th, all cases sent to Invisalign after this date will not be received)

As part of Invisalign’s transition to a new identity platform, users will be required to periodically re‑authenticate their integration. This requirement is defined by Invisalign and is not a 3Shape‑specific feature.

Please note that this behavior will continue beyond February 26th and is now a permanent security requirement for all integrations with Invisalign.

According to Align’s updated security policy:

  • If a user submits at least one scan every 30 days, they will be prompted to re‑authenticate (re-enable integration) once every 90 days.
  • If a user does not submit any scans for 30 consecutive days, the account is considered inactive and will need to be re‑authenticated via the Communicate portal before the next case can be sent.

These measures are introduced by Invisalign to enhance account security and ensure that integrations remain active and verified.

How to Re-enable Invisalign Integration

This is a step-by-step guide for re-enabling your Invisalign integration. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to https://portal.3shapecommunicate.com/login and log in with your 3shape Account credentials:
  2. Go to the Integrations tab and locate Invisalign Integration, which is the last option.

3. Find the option “Re-enable integration” right next to it, press it; enter the Invisalign credentials, and the integration will be restored.

Key Consideration

To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted submission process to Invisalign, you must re-enable your integration before 26th of February 2026.

If the integration is not re-enabled by end of February, Invisalign will stop receiving your cases until your integration is re-enabled.

If you complete the re-enabling process of your Invisalign integration after the end of February, any cases you submitted after that date may not have been received by Invisalign. You will need to resend those cases once your integration has been restored.

Additionally, if your integration remains unrepaired or not re-enabled before 26th of February 2026, 3Shape will send you an email notification informing you of the issue. This email will include details about the failed case delivery and instructions on how to complete the re-enabling process.

To avoid disruptions and extra steps, we strongly recommend completing this process within the required February window.
