Clarity Portal (Solventum)- 3Shape Unite integration guide
12/02/2026This guide explains how to pair the 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner with the Solventum Clarity™ Portal and how to submit cases using the integrated workflow.
How to install Clarity (Solventum) App
Run Unite and open Unite Store. Go to More > Store

Go to Labs section and in the search field, start typing “Clarity Portal”. Click “Connect” button.

New pop-up window will appear, click “OK” button.

Your connection request will be approved automatically. You may finish pairing on Clarity Portal now.
Pairing Clarity Portal with 3Shape Unite
Follow these steps to establish a connection between your Clarity Portal account and your 3Shape Communicate account.
- Navigate to Clarity.Solventum.com and log in with your Clarity Account.
- Access Manage Account by clicking the arrow at the top right of the screen by your name.
- Click on your account name and then on the settings tab.
- On the “Settings” tab select “Digital Scan”, select 3Shape TRIOS and then select “Add Account”.

- Sign into your 3Shape Communicate account and authorize the connection.

- On the TRIOS scanner navigate to “Local Lab” and click “Refresh”. The Clarity Lab should appear.
- This completes the pairing.
Create and send case to Clarity Portal
- Select the Patients tab in the upper left corner of Unite.
- Create New patient or select an existing patient.

- Once the patient is created, a new window appears.
- Under the Scan & Send menu, select Solventum Clarity Portal.

- Choose restoration type in the Order Form and click Save.

- Proceed with TRIOS scanning for the Lower, Upper jaws and a Bite scan.

- Choose delivery date and click “Send” button.

Steps to complete a case on Solventum Clarity Portal
- Access Clarity Portal at Clarity.Solventum.com and select “New Order” from the “Cases” page.
- Select “New Patient” or “Existing Patient” and enter the patient information as required.
- Select “Products and Shipping” information.
- Enter “Dental Status”.
- Select the scan radio button under “Intraoral Records”.
- Select the 3Shape button under the “Records” section.

- This will connect to a list of patient scans that have been sent to your 3Shape Communicate account using the Clarity Portal lab on the scanner.
- Select the scans for the list. This will initiate the upload process.

- Record type is automatically selected by the program based on keywords in the file name. The record type can be edited as is necessary by selecting the arrow on the record group.
- Finalize the order by adding photos (mandatory), completing the prescription and reviewing the order then select “Submit”.
