How to handle Sirona cases in Dental Manager

3rd Party IOS integration with Dental System

Starting from Dental System 2.21.2.1, there is an opportunity to integrate Dental System with 3rd party IOS systems. This allows you to receive scans from Sirona intraoral scanner directly into 3Shape Communicate in Dental Manager.

It is a one-way integration, meaning that you can only receive cases from Sirona clinic to 3Shape lab.

There is a separate license module for this integration, it is not enabled by default. To purchase it, please contact 3Shape sales. 

How the orders from Sirona arrive at Dental Manager:

1.Firstly, orders appear under 3rd party IOS section. They come in the created state. It is possible to open such orders to verify the order form. 

2. Afterwards, if you decide to design such an order in Dental System, you need to select "I will design in Dental System" to download the scans and work on the case in Dental Designer.
 

3. Then case will be automatically transferred into a Created section. It will still be in a created state.
Please note that scans will be downloaded by 3Shape Dental Manager software. This may take some time (from 1- up to 2minutes). 

4. After the scans are downloaded, the order will appear in the Scanned (3rd party) section. 
 

5. Finally, it is possible to proceed with accepting the case as usual in 3Shape Dental System.
