How to backup Ortho System files and settings

Backup Ortho Data folder

The Ortho Data folder is a physical storage of patient’s data. By default it is installed under the:

C:\ProgramData\3Shape\OrthoData\

Ortho Data may have different folder names, and different locations, and can be pointed to another PC within the same network. Always check its path under Ortho Control Panel -> System Settings -> “Ortho Data folder is currently defined to folder”.

Backup configurations 

Are stored under:

C:\ProgramData\3Shape\Ortho Control Panel

Bars, Questionnaires, attachments etc. profiles are stored in OrthoMaterials.xml file (C:\ProgramData\3Shape\Ortho Control Panel). 

Pictures for Questionnaires are stored in the Questionnaire Resources folder. 

Physical files for attachments, template base models, reports etc. are stored in C:\ProgramData\3Shape\Ortho Control Panel\Libraries.

Backup Appliance Designer folder 

This folder contains default and customized templates. The folder is located under:

C:\ProgramData\3Shape\Appliance Designer

Export Ortho Control Panel settings

Ortho Control Panel settings can be exported from:

Ortho Control Panel -> Tools -> Export/Import settings
