[EXTERNAL] MOVE Pro: Driver Collisions Between TP-Link T9UH and TX20U
22/01/2026Symptom
The TX20U adapter is not recognized as a Network adapter in the Device Manager, but as an Unknown USB Device:

If using the Usb Tree View program, it shows up as “802.11ac WLAN Adapter”:

Background
3Shape has discovered that installing a TP-Link Archer T9UH wireless adapter may cause the TP-Link Archer TX20U driver to fail to work.
This can occur when the TX20U adapter is replaced with a T9UH adapter for testing purposes. When the TX20U adapter is reinstalled, the driver will fail to recognize the adapter.
Fix
Remove the T9UH driver completely from the MOVE Pro and reinstall the TX20U driver manually.
Step-by-step instructions:
- Open the Device Manager
- If the T9UH adapter is not currently installed, make it visible by choosing View > Show hidden devices
- Uninstall the T9UH driver by right-clicking the device and selecting “Uninstall device”

- Uninstall the TX20U driver via Settings > Apps > Installed apps
- Download the TX20U driver from TP-Link: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-tx20u/
Make sure to install 5001.19 driver. Dated 2025-03-13

- Reboot the MOVE Pro
- Install the TX20U driver. The USB Tree View should identify it like this:

- Go to Windows > Network & Internet> Advanced network settings and select the TX20U Wi-Fi adapter. It will likely be called “Wi-Fi”. Rename the adapter to “Scanner-WiFi”
