Requirements for setting up the machine via 3Shape Produce

To connect a machine via 3Shape Produce, the following requirements must be met:

  1. 3Shape Produce must be installed.
  2. If required by the manufacturer, the machine software must be installed.
  3. The relevant Partner Integration Component (PIC) must be installed and running.

NOTE! Machine manufacturers may charge an additional fee for software that is compatible for integration with 3Shape Produce. The conditions of the integration on the machine's side are determined by the machine manufacturer. For all inquiries related to the machine and its software, please reach out to the machine manufacturer. 

NOTE! For all machines except those that have a single installer for the machine software and the PIC application (e.g. DGShape), it is important that the PIC is installed after the machine software is installed.

  • For integration between 3Shape Produce and a milling machine, the machine's CAM software must be of the correct version, otherwise the machine might be impossible to set up. See the list of required 3rd-party software versions and additional comments for all machines below.

1. SprintRay has two software - a standalone and a browser version. Only the browser version SprintRay Dashboard is compatible with Produce.  
2. Given that there is no need to install 3rd-party software locally, instead it is necessary to have an account on the SprintRay Dashboard and then install their PIC. The final step, which only needs to be done once during the initial integration, is to log in to the web page and verify your PC.

  • The machine software as well as the installation guidance can be requested from the machine manufacturer or found by following the link in the Machine setup wizard on the Produce step:

 

When following the link for DGSHAPE machine you will be transferred to 'The MillBox Learning Center' where it is needed to type 'produce' in the search bar so the '3Shape Produce Integration' article will appear.

NOTE! If the instructions for installing or updating machine's software or PIC that are found by following the link in the Machine setup wizard on the Produce step are unclear or incomplete OR there are any other problems with installing or updating machines' software or PIC, the machine's support has to be contacted.

  • For a PIC to be discovered by our software, the port where it is installed must be open and the PIC itself must be running.

For 3Shape Produce, it does not matter whether the machine itself is connected and running, it is searching for the PIC to be running.

  • If a PIC is not installed on the same system with the Unite, the network discovery must be enabled there.
  • Once all of the above prerequisites are met, it will be possible to set up the needed machine from the Machine Setup wizard on the Produce step:
