Setting technician permissions
15/01/2025To change, manage, or set technician permissions, a user must be part of your 3Shape Company. Click here to learn how to invite users to your 3Shape Company.
Please note that technicians *are not* assigned permission templates. Rather, permissions are managed in the technician user profile and address 3 primary areas:
- What tasks a technician can see (see “Cases” permissions)
- What actions a technician can perform in the Technician Details popup (See “Technician Details” permissions)
- How cases are assigned to a technician
Go to Settings > Profiles > Profiles/Logins > User Profiles> Edit
1) Slide “LMS access” to yes. Then under “User Type” select “Technician” from the dropdown menu. The default is set to all permissions. Click the dropdown arrow under “Permissions” to view and change selctions.
2) Use the checkboxes to configure the user's technician permissions
