Setting Up Case Entry

3Shape LMS allows you to configure your Case Entry Display to best page to best fit your lab's needs and can be updated at anytime. 

Show, hide or completely exclude Pan, Case Flag, Comments, Enclosed, Attachments, and/or Internal Notes during case entry.

Go to Settings > Case > Case Entry Display > Case entry display > Edit

  • Show: Always shows the field
  • Hide: Is hidden under the expandable "More" field
  • Exclude: Never shown at case entry

 

  1. Click the radio button to choose what settings to show, hide, or exclude. Then Click "Save" to update your settings.

* Note: All options are defaulted to “Show”  for new sites

Select what happens immediately after a case is created to maximize effencieny 

Selecting what happens after a case is created

Choose what happens after after a case is created. You have 4 different options:

  • *Next steps: Displays the "Next Steps" pop-up
  • Case Record: Opens the case record after creating case (original behavior)
  • New case: Redirects to a new case entry page 
  • Back to previous page: Nothing happens-- you are taken back to the previous page

* Note: Default setting for new sites

Go to Settings > Case > Case Entry Display > After case created, display

  1. Make selection from the drop-down menu and click “Save”
 
 

 

Selecting the “Next Step” shortcuts

Select up to 4 shortcuts that show in the Next Steps pop-up in addition to “New Case” 

*Note: Only relevant if "Next Steps" is selected for “After case created, display” 

Go to Settings > Case > Case Entry Display > Customize next steps popup > Edit 

  1. Use the checkboxes to make your selection and click save

 

View of Next-Steps after case creation:

Patient name and case record number are displayed under the list of actions. Click on the flag displayed after the case record number to choose a flag color.
