3Shape Automate Account Merging and Login Scenarios

This article describes the current 3Shape Automate login and user registration system, including how to link and merge legacy Automate accounts with a 3Shape Account and common login/linking flows.

  1. On the 3Shape Automate login page, select Sign in with 3Shape Account.

  1. If an Automate account with the same email address is found, you will be prompted to link your accounts.

  1. Follow the on-screen steps to finalize linking the accounts.
  • Log in and link
    Use this if you already have both a 3Shape Account and an Automate account.
  • Create and link
    Use this if you do not have a 3Shape Account and only have an Automate account.

  1. Log in to Automate with your email/password.
  2. Go to Personal settings.
  3. Select Log in and link.
  4. Sign in to your 3Shape Account.

  1. Enter your password to confirm linking.

  1. Log in to Automate with your email/password.
  2. Go to Personal settings.
  3. Select Create and link.
  4. Create your 3Shape Account using the on-screen prompts.

  1. After creation, you will be prompted to link the account. Confirm to complete the process.

If your Automate email and 3Shape Account email do not match, you can link Automate to a different 3Shape Account:

  1. Go to your Automate page → Personal settings.
  2. Select Log in and link (or Create and link in case you would like to create a new 3Shape Account under a different e-mail address)
  3. Sign in to the 3Shape Account registered under a different email address (or create the Account following the instructions).
  4. Enter your password to confirm linking.

Additional requirements and specific situations

Linked accounts must be from the same country. In case accounts from different countries are linked, “Linked accounts need to be from the same country”.

If the selected 3Shape Account is already registered and linked, you will see a message “The selected 3Shape Account is already registered”.
