What is data transfer in 3Shape Unite 23.1 and why should I opt for it?

Unite 23.1 introduces integration with 3Shape Account, where each user (operator) will have their own 3Shape Account (3Shape Communicate) associated with one Team bound to one Company per clinic. This concept means that each device should be registered to only one company.
In each scenario, when in Unite 21.2, each operator in the system had their own 3Shape Communicate account associated with their own Company, after the upgrade, only one Company should be selected as the main company, and for all other operators present in the system, the data transfer request will be initiated.
What does “Transfer” mean?
If the transfer request is accepted, the Team of the acquired company which is a vessel of cases, connections, and integrations will move to the acquiring company. After the transfer, users (operators) will keep access to their cases, connections, and integrations as before, but will belong to the acquiring company.
It is recommended to accept the transfer and move data to the acquiring company if you want to preserve your cases, connections, and integrations.
