Viewing and Managing Cases in the Case Inbox
10/02/2026As cases are sent to your LMS, you’ll be notified by the number displayed in the Case Inbox section on the Case Flow page.
Case Inbox Overview
The Case Inbox is divided into two tabs:
-
New
Cases you have not yet reviewed. -
Ignored
Cases you have previously viewed but chose not to take action on. - Please note: the first time you connect you may get historical cases in your inbox as well. You have the option to "ignore" the older cases.
Note: If you ignore a case, you can return to it later and accept it at any time.
Reviewing Case Details
Each case in the inbox displays general information, including:
- Client
- Patient
- Item
- Source
To view more details and take action on a case, click the arrow on the far right of the case row.
Case Review Screen
Within the case review screen, you can:
- View a 3D preview of the scans
- Review any comments and attachments submitted with the case
- Open the TRIOS order form by selecting the option in the top-right corner
If you've chosen to share your product catalog with the clinic, the item selection and due date will be automatically populated according to your lab’s specifications. If you have not chosen to share your product catalog you will have to manually select the item being fabricated from your current offerings.
Accepting a Case
To accept the case and place it into production:
- Click Accept and Create in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
When you accept the case:
- A work ticket is generated
- The case moves into manufacturing
- The clinic can see that the case has been accepted by the lab in Unite and Communicate
Declining a Case
If you choose not to move forward with a case:
- Select the Decline option during the case review
- The case will not be placed into production
- The clinic will be notified that the case was declined
- Note: If you chose to decline a case, a warning box will appear to confirm the action. Once a case is decline, it cannot be brought back into the inbox unless the clinic sends it again.
