How to Re-enable Invisalign Integration

22/11/2024

Introduction

Invisalign has transitioned its users to a new identity platform. As part of this change, 3Shape users with an active Invisalign integration were required to re‑enable their integration by February 26, 2026, to avoid service disruption. Any cases sent to Invisalign after this date from integrations that were not re‑enabled will not be received

As part of Invisalign’s new identity platform, users are now required to periodically re‑authenticate their integration. This requirement is defined by Invisalign and is not a 3Shape‑specific feature. This is a permanent security requirement for all integrations with Invisalign.

According to Align’s updated security policy:

  • If a user submits at least one scan every 30 days, they will be prompted to re‑authenticate (re-enable integration) once every 90 days.
  • If a user does not submit any scans for 30 consecutive days, the account is considered inactive and will need to be re‑authenticated via the Communicate portal before the next case can be sent.

These measures were introduced by Invisalign to enhance account security and ensure that integrations remain active and verified.

How to Re-enable Invisalign Integration

Step 1: Go to https://portal.3shapecommunicate.com/login and log in with your 3shape Account credentials:

Step 2: Go to the Integrations tab and locate Invisalign Integration, which is the last option.

Step 3: Find the option “Re-enable integration” right next to it, press it; enter the Invisalign credentials, and the integration will be restored.

If you are completing the re-enabling process of your Invisalign integration after the end of February, any cases you submitted after that date may not have been received by Invisalign. You will need to resend those cases once your integration has been restored.
