How to enable LinuDent integration with 3Shape Unite

Prerequisites for the Integration

The following requirements must be met:

• 3Shape Unite 21.1.x or higher.
• LinuDent version 119.1.2.1 or higher.
• Both standalone and client-server setups are supported. See Known Limitations for more information.

Functionality

The integration between 3Shape Unite and LinuDent (PMS) provides the following functionality:

• Automation of patient management in 3Shape Unite from LinuDent, including creating, merging, and updating patients.
• Opening 3Shape Unite directly from the patient chart in LinuDent for faster and easier workflows.
• Transferring clinic photos from 3Shape Unite to LinuDent.

Enabling the Integration in 3Shape Unite

To enable integration in 3Shape Unite, follow the instructions in the related article: How to install "PMS integration" App from Unite Store 

Enabling the Integration in LinuDent

Please consult the LinuDent documentation for detailed instructions. The following steps are provided as an aid to help you configure the integration in LinuDent.

Step 1: In LinuDent, select the LinuDent tab.

Step 2: Select System, then Konfiguration.

Step 3: Select Einstellungen, then VDDS-Schnittstelle.

Step 4: Select VDDS-Media Schnittstelle and choose 3Shape Dental Desktop from the dropdown list.

Step 5: Select VDDS aktivieren to activate the integration and save the changes.

Step 6: Restart LinuDent.

Transferring 2D Images from Unite

To transfer 2D images from 3Shape Unite, follow the workflow presented in the video below.

Known Limitations

Patient updates are only propagated from LinuDent to 3Shape Unite, not the other way around
