- Prepare the margin line.
- There are various ways of preparing the margin line; use the most suitable for the type of restoration and the patient’s situation:
- Retraction paste
- Soft tissue lasers
- Retraction cords
- Anatomic compression caps
- Rubber dams
- You can use a hemostatic agent to prevent excessive bleeding in the margin line area. This will ensure better accuracy of the margin line scan.
- When using the double cord technique:
- Place the first cord after applying the hemostatic agent.
