"Syncing patient data with the cloud" when trying to close Unite III
12/06/2025When closing Unite 3 with cloud storage, there is a pop up “Syncing patient data with the cloud” with a progress bar and the count down of cases that are being synced. The issue is when this bar takes an unusually long time to be completed. This has been seen in Unite 1.8.8.1 and 1.8.10.1.
This scenario has been discussed and investigated internally. It was concluded that this is the expected behavior of the software, and it is working as designed. The closing time of the application may vary depending on the time of day and the amount of information generated during the day. Therefore, if the software is closed at the end of the day after creating multiple patients, the synchronization process may take several minutes. This can depend on internet speed and other factors.
As such, no action is required from the support team.
Please proceed with documentation and categorization as usual. The Case Type should be set to Expected Behavior.
