🎓Downloading an Order Manually Using the 3Shape Communicate Advanced Download Tool
09/09/2026If you are unable to receive or accept cases in the 3Shape Communicate Inbox in Dental System you can download them manually using the “Advanced Download tool”. To do it, follow the procedure below:Â
Step 1: Log in to your account on the 3Shape Communicate portal.
Step 2: Locate the relevant order and copy the Case ID.
Step 3: Open "Dental Manager".
Step 4: Go to the "3Shape Communicate Inbox" tab.
Step 5: Open the Advanced Download tool (icon with two green arrows).
Step 6: Paste the Case ID into the corresponding field.
Step 7: Click "Receive".
The order will be downloaded into your 3Shape Communicate Inbox, and you will be able to accept the order without issues.
If you would like to re-download the case, which was previously accepted in Dental Manager - do not forget to enable “Force downloading cases which were downloaded before”.
Note that using this option may change the existing orders after accepting the re-downloaded orders.
Covert cases to Dental System format after receiving - when this option is enabled, it converts the downloaded orders to the Dental System format. Otherwise, the downloaded orders will not be converted and therefore will not be displayed in 3shape Communicate Inbox until the automatic or manual synchronization with 3shape Communicate.
