Access Violation or Gingiva Line Violation when creating a gingiva base for full dentures

08/11/2023

This article explains how to resolve the following errors that may appear during the "FD Initial Setup" step when creating a gingiva base for a full denture:

  • "Gingiva lines violation"
  • "Access Violation at the address"

Cause

These errors occur when there is insufficient spacing between the teeth and the gingiva. A gap between these structures is required for successful gingiva base generation during the Full Denture workflow.

Resolution

Step 1: Return to the previous step in the design workflow.

Step 2: Redefine the gingiva line.

Step 3: Increase the base thickness to create sufficient spacing between the teeth and the gingiva.

Result

After increasing the spacing and redefining the gingiva line, proceed with the design. The gingiva base should generate successfully without the reported errors.
