How to update Nvidia graphics card drivers

To ensure best performance of 3Shape software, it is recommended to update the Nvidia graphics card driver to the latest version when it is available.

You have two options for this procedure: either automatically updating the drivers via GeForce Experience (the application will search the drivers automatically and prompt the user to update when new ones are available), or manually downloading and installing the driver package (recommended in case you do not want to use GeForce Experience, or if GeForce Experience download/installation fails)

Step-by-step instructions

Updating Nvidia graphic card drivers via GeForce Experience:

1. Go to the official GeForce Experience website and download the installer

2. Execute the installer and follow the steps during the installation.

3. Once GeForce Experience is installed, log in to an Nvidia account

It is recommended to create an account if you don’t have one.

4. Go to the “Drivers” tab, new available drivers will appear ready for download, in case you cannot see any, click “check for updates”.

The currently installed version of the drivers can be found a little bit below.

5. After the download is finished, you can select “custom installation” and select the components you want to be updated. If the versions are the same as the installed ones, feel free to uncheck them.

The installation should take a few minutes, after it is done, it is recommended to reboot the PC.

In case the installation with GeForce Experience fails, or you wish to manually install the drivers, you can follow these steps:

Manually downloading and installing Nvidia drivers

1. Go to NVIDIA drivers download page.

2. In the section "Option 1: Manually find drivers for my NVIDIA products." select the NVIDIA graphics card installed in the system and verify that Operating system is defined correctly, then click on SEARCH button.

It is recommended to select “Recommended/Certified” (WHQL) driver versions, since NFB contain beta features that have passed through only limited testing.
