How to enable Frenda integration with 3Shape Unite

Prerequisites for the integration:

  • 3Shape Unite 21.1.x or newer. 
  • Frenda integration 1.0.2 or newer.   
  • Both standalone and client-server setups are supported, see Known Limitations.

3Shape Unite and Frenda (PMS) integration provides automation of Patient Management in 3Shape Unite from Frenda (Create, merge, and update patients) for faster and easier managing of patient data.  Read more about Frenda here.

How to enable the integration in Unite 

Please follow the steps described in the related article: How to install "PMS integration" App from Unite Store 

How to enable the integration in Frenda

Please consult Frenda documentation. The following steps are provided as an aid to set up and use the integration in Frenda software.

  1. Run Frenda software and press 3Shape button at the top of the menu.
  2. New window will pop up, fill in the required fields:
    • 3Shape Användarnamn – the username of 3Shape operator
    • 3Shape Lösenord – password of 3Shape operator
    • Servernamn – IP address (preferably full PC domain name) with installed Unite server.
    • Sammanfoga patienter: Unchecked –  determine if the patient should be created as a new on Unite client side Checked – determine if the patient should be matched with already created on Unite
    • Press the “Hämta” button – this command will retrieve the list of available for now online 3Shape Unite clients, select any client from the list.
  3. Press the “Fortsätta” button to send a request to the 3Shape Unite.
  4. The dialogue will start processing the request to the 3Shape Unite.
  5. If the action proceeds successfully – the application will be automatically closed, otherwise - the error with the description will be displayed.

Now you will have integrated Frenda with 3Shape Unite.
