Resolving "Failed to morph anatomy shape to its die interface"

The following error message may appear during the "Anatomy Design" step in Dental Designer:

"Failed to morph anatomy shape to its die interface"

This issue most commonly occurs when designing crowns and anatomical abutments but may also occur for other indications.

Affected Dental System versions: Potentially all versions. 

Cause

This issue occurs when the selected library tooth is positioned too far from the margin line.

Resolution

Position the anatomy closer to the margin line

Step 1: Return to the "Anatomy Design" step.

Step 2: Reposition the anatomy so that it is as close to the margin line as possible.

 

Reconnect the anatomy to the margin line

Step 1: Open the "Smile Composer" step.

Step 2: Open the Sculpt tools.

Step 3: Disconnect the anatomy from the margin line.

Step 4: Reconnect the anatomy to the margin line.

 

Modify the anatomy

Step 1: Modify the anatomy design.

Step 2: Reconnect the anatomy to the margin line.

 

Select a different tooth library

Step 1: Select a different tooth library.

Step 2: Continue the design and verify whether the issue has been resolved.
