Operators are missing in DS 24

In previous versions (DS 23 and earlier), labs were able to add as many operators as they wanted. However, with the release of DS 24, the ability to create Operators has been streamlined and is now connected to the number of Profiles available. Profiles Replacing Operators in DS 24.

Key Changes in DS 24

1. Operator Creation Tied to Profiles:
   • The ability to add Operators has been removed from the Dental System Control Panel (DSCP).
   • Instead, Operators are managed through Profiles. Each Profile corresponds to an Operator.
2. Selecting Operators Through Profiles:
   • When logging into Dental Manager (DM), the name of the Operator is determined by the selected Profile.
   • To switch Operators, sign out of DM and log in using the desired Profile.
3. Logged-In User Priority:
   • The logged-in user’s Profile will appear first in the ‘Operators’ list.

Workflow for Managing Profiles and Operators in DS 24

Step 1: Adding a New Profile

1. Navigate to Site Settings in DSCP.
2. Select Profiles from the menu.
3. Click Add Another Profile.
4. Sign in with 3Shape Account
5. Save the Profile.

1. Open DSCP
2. At the login screen, click Add Another Profile.
3. Sign in with 3Shape Account
4. Save the Profile.

Step 2: Selecting a Profile in DM

1. Open Dental Manager.
2. At the login screen, choose the desired Profile.
3. The selected Profile will determine the Operator name displayed in DM.

Step 3: Switching Operators

1. Sign out of Dental Manager.
2. Select a different Profile during the login process.
