Lab Scanners Not Turning On

Sometimes a lab scanner may not turn on even when it is properly connected to a power outlet.

Potential root causes:

• Damaged power supply
• Defective power outlet
• Damaged power cord connector

Affected lab scanners: All lab scanner models.

Possible Solutions

Step 1: Connect the scanner to a different power outlet.

Step 2: Perform a power drain on the scanner. Unplug the power source and any other cables connected to the scanner, and leave the scanner disconnected for 20–30 minutes.

After this waiting period, the scanner should be drained of residual energy and returned to a base state.

Step 3: Plug everything back in and try to turn the scanner on again.
