"Access violation in module DentalDesigner.exe" in Dental Designer

The following error message may appear at any stage of the design workflow in Dental Designer:

"Access violation at address XXXXXXXXXXXXXX in module "DentalDesigner.exe". Read of address XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"

Cause

This is a generic error message indicating that an unexpected problem occurred while processing the current design.

Because the error is not specific, the underlying cause varies depending on the order, workflow step, or software version. The issue may also not be reproducible.

Resolution

There is no single solution or workaround for this error.

If the error consistently occurs under specific conditions, such as:

• when designing a particular indication,
• during a specific workflow step, or
• only in a particular Dental System version,

the issue may be a software defect that requires further investigation.
