Resolving Dental System Communicate Synchronization Issues

In Dental System 2019 and later, synchronization of the 3Shape Communicate Inbox or configuration of the 3Shape Communicate integration may fail if the required service is not responding or cannot be started.

Symptoms

Synchronization or configuration of 3Shape Communicate may fail if the "3Shape Dental System Communicate" service is not running or is not responding.

The following error messages may appear:

During synchronization of the 3Shape Communicate Inbox: "Synchronization failed. Service '3Shape Dental System Communicate' seems not started on [PC_NAME]. Please start the service and try synchronization again."

When configuring 3Shape Communicate integration in Dental System Control Panel: "Unable to save your changes. 3Shape Dental System Communicate service does not respond on localhost:27030. Details: Socket error #10061 Connection refused."

Restarting the Required Services

Follow the steps below to restart the required services.

Step 1: Press Windows + R.

Step 2: Type "services.msc" and press Enter.

Step 3: In the "Services" window, locate "3Shape Dongle Service".

Step 4: Right-click the service and select "Restart".

Step 5: Restart the PC.

The "3Shape Dental System Communicate" service should start automatically after the computer restarts.

If the Issue Persists

f the "3Shape Dental System Communicate" service still cannot be started after restarting the PC, contact 3Shape Support.
