How to enable Cares Visual integration with 3Shape Unite

Prerequisites for the integration:

• 3Shape Trios® Dental Desktop Version 1.7.3 and higher 
• CARES® 2023 / 16.0.1 and higher
• Optional: Straumann dme: find always the latest «Straumann_CARES_DWOS_Lab» .dme file on the Straumann Connectivity homepage.
  Use the filter «3Shape – Dental Desktop» to find it easily

How to enable the integration in Cares Visual:

1. Open «CARES Inbox» and go to «Connections»
2. Add Connection by clicking on the «+» and choose «3Shape Communicate»
3. You will be redirected to 3Shape login. Sign in your 3Shape Communicate → Authentication must succeed
4. Connection to «3Shape Communicate» will be displayed

How to receive cases from 3Shape Communicate in Cares Visual:

1. Go to CARES® «Inbox»
2. Refresh the inbox by using the refresh button, or switch with the Dropdown menu to 3Shape
3. Cases will be available in the Order list 

Known limitations:

• Meta data such as patient information, dentist information, material, indication and attachments are transferrable
• Margin line and insertion axis are not transferred from Trios®
• Tooth color measurements, material color and comments will be transferred as pdf file, find it as attachment
