Resolving "No more saves available in dongle" When Saving a Design

When saving a design in Dental Designer, the following error message may appear:

"No more saves available in dongle for this type of order. Please contact your distributor if you want to change this."

This error may occur even when sufficient CAD points are available on the dongle.

Affected Dental System versions: Potentially all versions.

Cause

The dongle contains both CAD points and one or more save-limited (demo) modules, such as:

• Abutment Design
• Implant Bar & Bridge Design
• Removables
• Full Denture

If the demo modules have 0 saves remaining, they take priority over CAD points and prevent the design from being saved.

Resolution

Upgrade to Dental System 2.19.1.0 or later.

Workaround

If upgrading is not possible:

Step 1: Contact 3Shape Support and request removal of the demo modules with 0 saves from the dongle.

Step 2: Update the dongle in "Dental System Control Panel".

Step 3: Save the design again.

After the demo modules have been removed, CAD points will be used according to the selected restoration.
